ABOUT

I am a Northern NCTJ and BJTC accredited Journalist with multimedia expertise, possessing reporting and storytelling skills. I have achieved a Distinction in MA Journalism: News from the University of Salford, and have attained a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Media Production: Journalism, from York St John University,

I have a passion for reporting and covering a variety of different stories, especially those surrounding themes of social change, news, arts, and entertainment. I am always eager to continue incorporating my skillset and interests within my career.

A great interest of mine lies within entertainment journalism. I devised 'Tune', which focuses on the UK music scene. This originated from a magazine I created, which won Best Magazine Project, chosen by Aesthetica Magazine's Editor Cherie Federico. Tune continues to be a passion project, with a dedicated website, Instagram and TikTok.

Furthermore, for my MA Major Project I created a multimedia feature series surrounding the innovation and endurance of the arts landscape, which can be accessed here.

Also, during my undergraduate studies I co-founded a hyperlocal news website 'YorNews', a site tailored to delivering local news content for young York residents. The site won Best Digital Project Award at the Emerge Awards, chosen by Hugh Mann-Adamson.
