I can confidently use Adobe In-Design and Photoshop to create news, features, and spreads for print. I can distinguish the differences between both print and online pieces, and I have been trained on page placements for different publication types. Below are some examples of my print work.
Double Page Spread - Save our Venues
Here is a DPS created as part of my MA in Journalism. I attended workshops on page design, and sourced the story and contributors, and created the below feature for print. This particular piece focuses on the grassroot music venue landscape, and can be accessed here.
Tune Magazine
During my magazine module, I created a music magazine called 'Tune'. It specialised within upcoming Indie music from around the UK. I designed the publication on Adobe InDesign, and conducted all interviews and features included in this edition.
Tune was awarded Best Magazine at the Emerge Awards at York St John University, chosen by Aesthetica Magazine's Editor Cherie Federico.
